Growing up the oldest of four siblings, Hilton moved between several homes, including a suite in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in her native Manhattan, Beverly Hills and the Hamptons. She attended schools in Manhattan, California and Conneticut and befriended the likes of Nicole Richie and Kim Kardashian along the way. As a child, she always craved the spotlight and began modeling at charity events before signing a contract with Donald Trump's modeling agency, T Management when she was 19. She's been affectionately making us cringe ever since. Calling Paris Hilton "gross" is such a popular activity it might as well be an Olympic sport. The gold medal would go to all the jealous girlfriends who wish their skin were that tanned, their stomachs that flat, their breasts that perky, and their boyfriends that fit. Silver would go to all the boys who claim that she's too fake, too ditzy and too loose for their high standards and steadfast morals. Despite her protestation that she hates being famous, Paris adores the spotlight and is very uninhibited (as her appearance in a homemade Hot tape with ex-boyfriend Rick Solomon would suggest). Combine that lack of restraint with a pouty, girlish joie de vivre and you've got quite a package -- or a handful, if you tend to be more cynical.

Ironically, Paris' main accomplishment is that she has made herself famous without really having accomplished anything, aside from some modeling and bit parts in films like Wishman (1991), Nine Lives (2002), Wonderland (2003), The Cat in the Hat (2003), The Hillz (2004), House of Wax (2005), and Bottoms Up (2006). However, with her stint in jail, panty-less pics and other paparazzi madness that constantly surrounds this blonde vixen, it's been reported that she'll appear in the 2007 Guinness World Records as the world's "Most Overrated Celebrity."
